About Light House Jesus Ministries

The Lighthouse Jesus Ministry of Botswana started in 1998 with the membership of eight (8) people in Gaborone. It was officially registered on the 4th of June, 1998 by Ministry of labour and Home affairs under the department of civil and national registration- Registrar of societies which is the department responsible for registration of Churches in the Country.

The Lighthouse Jesus Ministry of Botswana is a Pentecostal church which believes in five fold ministries and spiritual gifts.

Our vision is the spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me…He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, and He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom to the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour Isaiah 61v1-3 and Luke 4v18-19

We believe that the Bible is the word of God, is given by God and inspired by the Holy Spirit, is the highest and final authority of God in the Church
We believe in the eternal existence of a triune God- God the Father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God the father. He is birthed by the Holy Spirit, born out of Virgin Mary and He is God.
We believe that man is received and born in sin and can only receive eternal life when he is born again
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only mediator who died for me. He is the substitute offering according to the scriptures for our sins. Everyone believes this as true and receives this gifts of eternal life by faith, is Justified to righteousness
We believe that Jesus Christ died and rose from the grave, bodily ascended to heaven and is sitting on the right side of God the father. From there, He shall judge over the living and the dead.
We believe in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that believe that believers receive the Holy Spirit when being born again and then enable to be equipped for service. The believers are further equipped by being baptized by the Holy Spirit, receiving gifts to serve the body of Christ.
We believe in the resurrection of the dead of both the righteous and unrighteous We believe the that unrighteous is destined for eternal death because they have rejected salvation presented by Jesus Christ and the righteous is destined for eternal life.
We believe that there is only one church, which includes everyone that receive the gift of eternal life
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has instituted two sacraments. The Holy spirit baptism and the Holy communion, points to Jesus Christ who died on the cross to save us from eternal death.
We believe in five fold ministries and the gifts of the Holy Spirit
The Church is open to any further truth, which the Holy Spirit may illuminate from scriptures.

With our church vision it means every member of the church who is born again, he/she has been anointed to fulfill the vision as a body of Christ in unity. We are the Lighthouse to the families, communities and nations. A place of refuge for the poor and needy, the healing of the sick. To train a committed and devoted membership, holy people with integrity, to be involved in the spiritual, physical and material developments of the community. To develop a meaningful lasting relationship and friendship within the church, outside the church, membership family and meeting the need of the man totally through worship, witness and work

To preach the gospel of Jesus Christ with boldness and without compromising
To minister unto everyone the ministry of Jesus by mean we mean;

To teach the way of salvation
To equip and train the saints for ministry
To pray, clothe, feed and visit the sick, prisoners, destitutes, the needy etc
To minister and releases unto those in spiritual bondage
To disciple every member to be spiritual accountable

To have worship services on weekly basis so that fellowship among the worshippers could be encouraged and enriched.
To train the believers to serve in and outside the congregation
To be a home based church for any person who needs to be restored, healed, grow in the word etc
To work with along with other Christian churches and missions to build the kingdom of God
To support world evangelism and missions
To cultivate among the people of Botswana and other nations world wide, knowledge and love for the Lord Jesus Christ and obey the principles of the word of God
To undertake charitable works and to do what is necessary, to encourage and foster the spiritual upliftment and welfare of the members of the church primary and then where possible for the community overall
To help teaching people to be good citizen and members of the society
To establish and full responsibility of operations of church branches in both urban and rural areas, and across the borders and by becoming a sending church
To attend to all age groups in a new and exciting way, using technology and what is available to help them to love the principles and relationship with Jesus Christ
To help community development projects, educate the nation by sponsoring them in various disciplines of their studies so that the church contribute labour and /or expertise to the nation(s) by establishing Christian training centers, having seminars, mission hospitals, Radio and TV stations.
